The Bay Street Inn is a very important historic home, saved
from destruction during the War Between the States, since Beaufort, SC was
occupied by Union troops at the beginning of the War. The property remains
today as a bed and breakfast property in the historic Point area of Beaufort,
near Tidleholm (otherwise known as "The Big Chill House")
